Japan climatic condition varies depending on location. In general, October and April are the best times to visit when temperatures are mild. May to July is the rainiest months, and June to August is hot and humid. During winter (December - February) temperatures rarely drops below 0°C in the plains along the Pacific coast. Summer (June - August) starts with rainy season for three weeks. It becomes seriously hot and humid from July onward.
